HC contempt notice to CV Anand over Chiru film ticket hike

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has once again issued crucial orders regarding the increase in movie ticket prices.

The High Court on Tuesday heard a petition challenging the memo issued by the Home department allowing for an increase in ticket prices for the film 'Mana Shankaravaraprasad Garu'. In this matter, the High Court issued suo motu contempt notices to Home department Principal Secretary CV Anand.

The court expressed its anger over Shankaravaraprasad issuing orders to increase the prices of the film, in defiance of previous orders.

Advocate Vijay Gopal presented arguments on petition number WP No. 1518 of 2026 filed in this matter.
